Customer Reviews about Dr. Santi Budiasih, MD
- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪WARNING! She abuses her authority as a Doctor! Showed zero common sense- in the way of circumstantial sensibility. She called CHILD SERVICES ON MY FAMILY! AFTER 4 Days of scrambling WE WERE OFFICIALLY deemed "NOT IN NEED OF PROTECTIVE SERVICES". (We already knew that.) Meanwhile my child was sick with Pertussis- The 100 DAY COUGH! Lastly, I suspect she has a PREJUDICE AGAINST those WHO CHOOSE NOT TO VACCINATE their children, AND those of us with ALT-VACCINATION schedules; vaccinated children none the less. I wish I could take back my choice to see Dr. Budiasih. It was a random choice to see her. Because she had immediate availability my Partner and I scheduled an appointment to meet her. I am a first time mom and my 4 month old (at the time) had a first time cough. Dr. B. met with us and sent us home with a "come back if it gets worse" recommendation. The cough got worse and the next week we were in to see her again. To be fair, I am leaving many details out of this review. The details that seem the most important to share are and were Dr. B's actions. During our 2nd visit Dr. B made an emotional scene and showed sure signs of a panic attack. Next, WITHOUT a diagnosis she made a "recommendation", then a referral to another Dr., and actually refused treatment! My appointment with her was on a Friday @1 in the afternoon. We didn't leave her cubicle of a room until 6:30 that night! (5 and 1/2 hours...) Again, without treatment. Note worthy: During our "extended visit" Dr. B told me not to breastfeed and offered no alternative suggestions. I respectfully refused. My SICK baby wasn't going to go hours without nourishment. As she knew well, finding a second opinion on a Friday night is next to impossible. We felt helpless and exhausted. Little did we know at that time our TANGLED had story just got started. Child Services was making reports and visiting us by Saturday. Her office hounded us with phone calls all weekend. We were seeking a second opinion in the Affinity system and the nurses, from different offices had already been "warned" of us! IT FELT LIKE WE WERE IN THE TWILIGHT ZONE. It was like she was trying to control a situation that she mishandled. Her actions and their consequences took away from my ability to directly care for my child. I think her office's politics got in the way of the focus and well being of my daughter. Overall, we met some poor Affinity Ascension Professionals. We also met some amazing state workers and Urgent Care Doctors. Bottom line, it was traumatizing. My baby is beyond well now. Writing this review, in part helps me move on and "let go". After reflecting on the event, I have come to see the implications of her actions. I have seen her inability to effectively communicate as equals. I have been in the room with her elitist viewpoint that disregards the choice and wishes of a mother. I believe that for Dr. B, "Doctor's Orders" is law, and I think she has lost sight of her profession being a Practice. I will be reporting her to officials in the near future.September 29, 2017by Jamie Lee Lechner
